Welcome to On-Track's Blog!

Welcome to the first post on the official On-Track Blog.

On Saturday we added some new features to On-Track, mostly applicable to managers with some improvements to Users.  Check it out:

New User Feature:
  • Manage your user profile.  You can now select your default booking page, change your name, email address and password. Click on the gear at the top-right corner on On-Track, select “Profile Settings”, change you profile settings and click on “Update”. It’s that easy!   


Manager & Project Manager Features:

  •  Updated employee Leave management:  You can now manage the amount of days that an employee has available as leave.   Go to “Admin” -> “Employees” and click on the employee to manage the amount of leave an employee has.
  • Multiple rates per employee:  You can now add as many hourly rates to an employee as you like and deactivate those that are no longer relevant. Go to “Admin” -> “Employees” and click on the employee to manage his/her hourly rates.
  • Projects over budget:  Quickly and easily see which of you projects has gone over it’s budget.  Click on “Reports” -> “Projects” -> “Projects over budget”.
  •  You can now choose to report on Booked time & expenses or approved time & expenses in relevant reports.  You can also choose to get reports on completed projects.  Check out "Reports" ->  "Projects" -> "Time Sheet".
  • Instead of reporting for "Current Week", "Previous Month" or for "Custom dates", you can now report on the "Project Lifetime" when selecting a single project.  Check out "Reports" ->  "Projects" -> "Time Sheet". Select a project and the "Project Lifetime" option under "Date Type" will become active!! Bobs your uncle!! No more trying to remember when the project started!
  • Managers can now manage user roles, in other words a manager can create a new role, for instance "Secretary".  After adding the role, re-choose the new role and assign the necessary actions to this role.  You can then assign the "Secretary" role to new secretaries.  Go to "Admin" -> "Role Management" and add a new role with a short keyword. You will then be prompted to select the actions associated with this role!!  If this gets a bit to complicated, please click on the big question-mark  and let us know.  We'll get someone to give you a hand! 
  • Shared Resources:  Managers can now create new shared resources like boardrooms or projectors.  Go to  "Admin" ->  "Resources" and add a new resource.
